Ross Bonfanti _ Lot 26

Rebecca Hossak Art Gallery

Title: Go team

About this piece: Go Team, is a concrete sculpture created with discarded stuff toys, transforming soft familiar objects into hardened figures of quiet resilience. Built in concrete, the toys lose their original function yet retain their expressions, suggesting care protection, and collective endurance. The clustered forms evoke a team or family unit-uneven, weathered, and bound together by proximity rather than perfection. By merging playthings with industrial material, the work explores themes of vulnerability, solidarity and emotional residue embedded in mass-produced objects. Go Team reflects on how tenderness persists even comfort is stripped away and survival becomes a shared effort.
