Influenced by an aesthetic fusion of videogames, textiles and op-art, Hyckie’s work animates the spaces between and within familiar imagery that devolves into shapes, colours and patterns. Hyckie received a BFA from OCAD University (Toronto). Her work has been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions across Canada including the Art Gallery of Ontario; Art Windsor-Essex; Macaulay & Co. Fine Art (Vancouver); Museum London; Galerie Nicolas Robert (Montreal); Olga Korper Gallery (Toronto); Open Studio (Toronto); and Smokestack Gallery (Hamilton). Her work is in the collections of the Art Gallery of Ontario, Museum London, the Bank of Montreal and Royal Bank of Canada, among others. Hyckie’s monumental public artwork Elevations can be seen at Great Canadian Casino Resort, Toronto. Hyckie lives and works in Toronto.
