This painting is influenced by Marianne’s imagination and deep connections to the places and things in her current home of Ontario, her upbringing in Québec and world travels. Glowing 11 expresses themes of identity, belonging, interconnectedness and our need for community as a means for sustainability. Just as trees and flora thrive through mutual support and communication, this work underscores the symbiotic relationship between humans and the environment.
