About this piece: I am drawn to neighbourhood streets at night, especially in the summer where all is still and the light is golden and the leaves whisper. I find solace in representing subjects where I feel an emotional connection. Often beginning with a plein air study to keep my work engaged in everyday life, I seek to capture aspects of my street life that I fear will be lost to gentrification.
