Corynn Kokolakis is a Toronto based figurative oil painter whose practice merges the often-disparate roles of mother and artist. In addition to taking up teaching, she has recently participated in a residency at Vermont Studio Centre and received an OAC project grant to support her ongoing visual research around care and painting. Corynn completed an MFA in Visual Arts from York University where she held a SSHRC, CGS Master's Scholarship. She earned a BFA in Drawing and Painting from OCADU, where she was awarded the Akin and JumpStart Career Launchers. Recent exhibitions include Rails End Gallery (2024), ArtMur (2022), Cedar Ridge Creative Centre (2022) and Baycrest Health (2020). Her work can be found in the Ken and Marilyn Thomson Patient Care Centre at Michael Garron Hospital in Toronto, and in private collections in the UK, the US, Australia, France, and Canada.
