Brenda is a Toronto-based artist, she explores contemporary portraiture and landscape themes through a singular medium, contrasting contemporary subjects with a 19th C sensibility Her works reference modernists from Warhol to Wu Chi-Tsung, dissolving studies into Prussian Blue, and high contrast abstract stories of human\nature define her work. Brenda’s newest works have begun to add introspection to an ongoing analysis of the cycles of nature, the power of shape, and ego.
