Aliye Akbarzadeh _ Lot 0

Sahar K. Boluki Fine Art Gallery

Title: Our human nature

I created this piece while living on a beautiful island in the middle of Montreal. Being surrounded by nature—with a forest on one side and the river on the other—was an incredible experience. My long walks around the island became part of my healing and a way to explore both my inner world and this new environment. I had just moved from my hometown, and nature quickly became a constant source of inspiration, offering something new each day. This painting is one of the works I made after a walk that took me through my thoughts, guided by meaningful songs I was listening to.

Aliye Akbarzadeh is an Iranian artist based in Toronto, whose artistic journey began in her teenage years. She holds a master’s degree in fine art. Aliye’s expressive compositions are created using a blend of paint, thread, and collages of fabric or paper, and are characterized by a strong presence of portraits. At the heart of her work is the intersection between her own self and an invisible presence. Even in her unpopulated paintings, the presence of people is always implied through multiple eyes and expressive drawing lines.
