Raoul Olou is a multidisciplinary artist based in Toronto. A self-taught painter with formal training in film and paper making, he creates work that references personal experiences, race, and ontology, inspired by the probabilistic nature of quantum physics. His practice is a study of historical and traditional processes through anthropology, speculative fiction, and intuition, expressed and embodied with painting, papermaking, and materials exploration.
